If you’re looking for our Matric Vac Trip for 2016, you’ve come to the wrong place. You’re looking for the Rumble. This way.
There is something about this ancient part of Africa that gets under your skin. It stays with you forever. It is spiritual.
Although our road tripping schedule is pretty lenient, as it should be, there are a certain amount of kilometers we need to travel every day to complete The Khaki Trek and get to our rest points every night. How long you take to get there on various days and what you do before the rest points is your own business. As guides, we can only guide, not demand. It’s your road trip, after all.
Rest Points will be shared in the detailed itinerary after booking.
maximise the Khaki Trek.

If so, there are many other things in the vicinity you can do and see instead and you will be recommended these by your guides. We do however, recommend the bulk of the below excursions as we feel they will enhance your road-tripping experience. You can find out how much spending money you require for all of the below in the Road Trip Starter Kit.Road Trip Starter Kit
Remember though: these awesome things are embedded into the very essence and spirit of the road trip itself and the many free and epic views, people, animals and towns we meet and see along the way – and of course, the parties we rock!
More details about itineraries will be shared with road trippers closer to the time.
|Resting Spot||Some of the mad things we’ll be doing…|
|Day 1||Cape Town||Table Mountain. Tick. If not, Shark Cage Diving or the waterfront? Too much to do, too much see. No doubt, we’ll be partying in Long Street that night.|
|Day 2||Springbok||Hungover Campfire Stories from the night before. Guaranteed.|
|Day 3||Mid Camp||Our campsite will have perfect the bush bar. Enjoy the awesome silence of the Namib here – or our music playing loudly. Either works.|
|Day 4||Solitaire /Windhoek||We’ll be in the ancient Sussovlei and will probably climb the world’s tallest sand dune (Work on your fitness!) The views in this place will bring you to tears. Literally. It’s quite embarrassing.|
|Day 5||Etosha||After lunch in Windhoek, we will be Safari’ing through Etosha with our own cars. Casual Africa. We’ll camp their for the night.|
|Day 6||Mid camp||We’ll hit the bar again after a long day’s drive. We’ll hit the campfire drinks again that night. Before that though, we’ll also check out one of the world’s largest boababs at sunset – breath taking.|
|Day 7||Ngepi||This place will be an absolute party. A bar on the Okavango, caged swimming pool in the river. It’s just pure chilling and fishing. Strangely, discover awesome themed toilets in the trees and the bushes (sounds weird, but trust it will blow your mind).|
|Day 8||Ngepi||Same as the previous day. We’re going to chill our faces off. It’s mid trip, after all.|
|Day 9||Livingstone||Sickest Booze Cruise in the evening on the Zambezi. Enough said.|
|Day 10||Livingstone||White water rafting below vic falls is a must guys. Later, we’ll check out Vic Falls. The crazy ones will want to bungee. Good luck!|
|Day 11||Central Kalahari Game Reserve||Get naked on the salt pans of Bots. If not, why not. Camp fire stories that night.|
|Day 12||CKGR||Chill in silence and have supper mere yards from Kalahari elephant.|
|Day 13||Mid Camp||It’s a chilled drive before the awesomeness of the next!|
|Day 14||Sun City/Pielansberg||Look, it’s going to be really chilly but we’ll check out the valley of the waves anyway. The Tower of Terror (a gigantic speed slide in the middle of dry Africa!) just has to be done in Winter. We’ll have the Pielansberg chill sesh that night and a party to match.|
|Day 15||Pretoria||The capital will be a jol, no doubt. After checking out the sights we’ll head out student style at some of the local university spots.|
|Day 16||Johannesburg||We’ll hit Neigbourgoods for lunch in the CBD. After that, Saturday Joburg is ours! Maybe some Newtown/Greenside that night? Casual. Uber’s on us this night guys – you’ll need it.|
No matter how boring they look, it’s where they go that matters. Any road tripping enthusiast will tell you, it’s all about the music and the crowd. Sit back and chill my friends. It’s going to get silly.
Starting venue will be shared in our detailed itinerary to be distributed to our road trippers. Accommodation is included the night of the end date. Sunday morning we will part ways.
